I’m beerpsi (he/they), a programmer and a rhythm game enthusiast. I can either be seen in my free time playing a rhythm game or programming something related for one.

Aside from those, I read manga, watch anime, and play JRPGs, all stuff you’d expect a weeb to do.

I’ve spent the last couple years mostly writing projects in Python, but also dabbling in a lot of other languages such as Rust, Go, C#, TypeScript. chuni-penguin, a Discord bot for the arcade rhythm game CHUNITHM, is probably my most successful project to date, being in about 500 Discord servers and over a thousand users.

Aside from those, I also write a lot of servers. Your standard CRUD REST API, but also servers for old online-only arcade games, which are super useful for preservation. I worked on a pediatric growth tracking system for a health company, which includes statistics, but also a social media and a chat app with parents for whatever reason (but unfortunately it got cancelled for reasons beyond my control…)

rhythm games

I play a lot of rhythm games, games where you hit notes to the music. You can get really good at them, and I find them incredibly fun games, even though it can be frustrating at times.

I feel like social media is too noisy and short-form nowadays, so I’m trying out blogging as a way to calm my mind and have some more thought put into my content.
